Today we explored the fascinating world of Sink or Float. We found objects of varying sizes, weights and materials around the classroom and hypothesized whether they would sink or float in our water tables. We also discussed, at length, why some objects float when we think that they will sink and vice versa. We had many surprises and it was fun figuring out exactly why these objects had tricked us. Check out our list! Ask your kiddo if they had any surprises today during our experiment :)
Parker creates his own Elmer during quiet choices. It looks just like Elmer...way to go, Parker!
Quinn finds herself sorting the caps in our block area. She discovers, contrary to Weston's original guess (red caps), that we have the most green caps. Sorting, counting and comparing just sneak right into our everyday learning here at preschool :)
