M is for Morning Messages!

Today we open morning meeting with a "Morning Message."  After reading the message together, friends help me to find and count all the M's hidden inside the message.  What a great literacy activity!  Ask you kiddo all about it :)

It was a glorious day for an outdoor read aloud!  Malala's Magic Pencil hits us with another wonderful message as we learn that it only takes one person and one voice to be the change this world needs.

We are strong and determined!

 

The Letter M and Messages of LOVE and ACCEPTANCE

Today we began our work with the letter M.  We started it off with Monkey's Miserable Monday and our letter M word list.  Look at all of those MARVELOUS words!

Lucas notices that M is for mini muffins!  Great connection :)

Logan notices the letter M written on his morning snack bag.  Nice!

We LOVE read alouds in the Discoverers classroom!  Today we read Morris Micklewhite and the Tangerine Dress not only because it had a slew of M words in it, but more so because the message in this story is SO IMPORTANT!  Accepting and celebrating the uniqueness of each person allows us to approach each day with open minds and open hearts.
