The Letter M!

During morning meeting, we read our Alphatales story Monkey's Miserable Monday.

After reading, we create a Magnificent word list for the letter M...check it out!

M is for Magnets!

M is for Monkeys and Monkey bars!

At the Social/Emotional Teaching training that Katie and I went to a couple of weeks ago, we were introduced to this AMAZING (and funny!) book.  Sometimes you just feel grumpy and that's okay!  Recognizing, labeling and understanding emotions is a critical piece of social/emotional learning for children...and what better way to teach/reinforce this than reading a super awesome book during morning meeting?!?!?! :)  Ask your child about Grumpy Monkey...I bet they'll have lots to say!

Kinetic sand whisks us away to the beach this morning as we build sand castles.

Engineering - Creating Stable Structures!

Drew explores how to make a stable stack of wooden cars during afternoon free choice.
Great work, Drew!

Which structure is more stable?  Raylan builds both and finds out for himself!

"Look, Ms. Christina!  I'm flipping burgers!"

All aboard the train!
