Experimenting with Lemons

Friends use water colors to paint.  Afterward, they squirt lemon juice on their paintings to create a tie-dyed effect.  This is practice for another one of our Art Gala pieces.

Lemon taste test during snack.  Hahahahahaha!
Those faces are priceless.

T is for TREES!

S is for SUN!  Kurtis writes the word "sun" to go along with his painted sun on our Alphabet Wall.

Friends experiment with patterned leaves on one of our large canvases for the Art Gala next month.  Whitney mentions maybe making a tree and a new idea is born!

Stay tuned for our beautiful paper mosaic tree...you're going to love it!

T is for TREE!  Blake works on a simplified version of "the tree of life."  This will also be on our Alphabet Wall soon.

Nice trees, Kai!

Magic Water, A Bad Case of the Stripes and Our Letter T Word List

"Wait!  Why are my hands blue?!?!?!?!"

"Now my hands are red!"

Our "magic water" intrigues us as it turns our hands a different color than what it appears to be in our texture bins.  So much curiosity and learning from one experiment :)

Alice has a bad case of the stripes during quiet choices.  "Remember that story we read last week for the letter S?  I drew the girl in it and she has rainbow stripes!"
So awesome, Alice!

Our letter T word list.  Stay tuned for our letter T sound circle tomorrow!
