Saving Baby Dinosaurs and Changing the World!

D is for Dinosaurs!  We freeze baby dinos inside ice eggs and then work to melt, chisel, crack, and hammer them to safety.  We freed the dinosaurs!  What a fun experiment :)

We use the giant pumpkins that Silas' family donated to test out both our small and gross motor skills.  Using wooden golf tees and a mallet, we hammer the tees in, pluck them out, and do it all over again.  We even created cool patterns, shapes and even faces on the pumpkins. 

Silas, Bennet and Wilson create a spectacular HQ for our Wild Kratts characters.

Lowercase ds are tricky!  They sure do look a lot like bs, ps, qs and 9s!

D is for Demonstrate! 

After Anya's awesome show and tell (a gender reveal balloon for her baby sister :), we become intrigued by the balloon configuration and how the outer balloon didn't pop (but the inner balloon did) when Anya pushed a pin into it at the gender reveal party.  You know we had to try it!  A sticker, a balloon, a tac, some tape, and about 5 minutes later and VOILA! our own science experiment.
