'Tis the season for static!

Our Maker's Space is tucked away for a few weeks and our Dramatic Play area is back open for business.  Friends enjoy the dress up clothing during free choice.

What a creative way to use our block puzzle!  Alice says, "Hey!  It looks just like a fish!"

M is for Magnets and Musical Chairs!

One of the skills that we hope to instill in our Discoverers before they move on to kindergarten is the ability to play cooperative games with their peers.  We work on good sportsmanship, learning and following rules and using teamwork to make the games work smoothly and effectively.  Everyone did a great job with each of these today during Musical Chairs...well done, everyone!

Cassadee traces her hand during afternoon free choice and then experiments with tracing her feet.  Kurtis and Ellie think that this is a wonderful idea and join in.  How creative!

All Aboard the Trinket Train!

On Friday, we counted our trinkets.  We've earned 102 trinkets in the last couple of months!  It's time to celebrate all of that kindness, flexibility, problem solving and responsibility!  Stay tuned for what our celebration will be :)

Squishy Painted Feet!

L is for LOBSTERS!  We start working on our letter L project this morning with a little hand (and foot!) painting.  I can't wait to see these little guys all finished up :)

 

Snow as far as the eye can see!  We finally get outside and play in that fresh powder.  We had a blast!
