Numbers, Numbers, Numbers!

Exploring new magnatiles!  Look at those lovely colors...so pretty!

Friends work on number recognition, counting, matching, cutting, and gluing on our turkey project this morning!  Each friend had their own way to do the project which made it meaningful for everyone!  

Ethan follows the bristle block instructions to create his own little alien friend...so cute!

Today during morning meeting, we counted our trinkets and we are at 80!  Only to go until we celebrate all of our hard work!

Not only is it wonderful to see how our listening, kindness, problem solving, and positive choice making impacts our classroom, this is a great math activity to practice counting by tens

and learning the patterns of larger numbers up to 100.

Linden was so proud of his structure this morning.  More importantly, he was super proud of his flexible thinking when there were no more triangles to use.  He used squares on the top level and it worked out perfectly!  Way to go, Linden!

Our recesses lately haven't felt the best so we put our minds and hearts together today during morning meeting to brainstorm things WE CAN DO at recess.
