A Fabulous Friday!

We come outside to a wonderful surprise...our neighbors are having their trees cut down!  We watch, riveted, as the whole process unfolds!

"Hey!  They're making woodchips!"

And then the whole process comes full circle and we see our wood chip train go by on its way to the power plant.  So cool!

Our 100 trinket celebration with Hotel Transylvania and delicious popcorn!
Excellent work in the classroom, Friends!

Emergent Curriculum!

Today during snack, I overhear a great conversation.  "Did you know that when it's daytime here, it's nighttime somewhere else?"
What a fantastic teachable moment!  I grab our globe and phone flashlight and we talk about how the Earth spins and faces the sun for part of the day and not for the other.  How cool to talk about (and show in a concrete way) this big, awesome concept!

So. Much. Cuteness.

D is for Deer Dancer!  We discover yet another wonderful Brownell Library book.

Crosby asks for help writing a card for his Mama.  Talk about empathy and mindfulness...such a sweet moment to share <3

Connor has the VERY creative idea to make his own wig.  Hmmmmmm...how can we make that happen?  Talk about emergent curriculum...teachers and kiddos alike come up with a killer plan to make this wig...and VOILA! A wig :)

We love Halloween projects!

We love loose parts and being creative!  Who knew you could have so much fun with wine corks, tile samples and ceramic coasters?!?!?!

Excellent number writing, Marion!
