Rainbow Sorting and Little Yellow Submarines :)

Friends have been very interested in sorting and organizing the materials in our classroom.  What a great way to sneak in those math skills :)

Isabelle's little yellow submarine.
After her show and tell, we listen to the famous Beatle's song.
What a nice way for us to introduce some awesome music that these kiddos may not be exposed to otherwise.
Thanks for the great show and tell, Isabelle!

FLOOF!

Today during morning free choice, we explore a new texture called FLOOF.  If you haven't felt this stuff, you need to check it out (I bought ours on Amazon)!  Ask you child all about it...it feels so cool!

Crosby, Parker and Weston work together to sort and organize our gems...look at all that hard work!

Exploring Plus-Plus toys.
Check out Lucas' bald eagle!

Parker has all the Tegu blocks to himself this morning and boy, does he take advantage!  Look at that amazing structure!

H Sound Circle, Measuring Grass and Icy Snow Exploration!

After discovering that there was a thin layer of ice over our snow, Isabelle and Quinn build a snow tunnel, a cave and then a bunny burrow.  What perfect snow to explore and build with!

Myles thinks that he's found the biggest piece of ice.  It WAS pretty big!

Last week, G was for Grass...this week we transition our lessons into H is for Height!  We begin to measure the grass that we've been waiting for so long to grow.

Our letter H sound circle!  We only had a couple of doubles today...nice work, everyone!
