Kinetic sand is always a hit in our classroom...especially when dragons are involoved!
Myles and Weston do some great problem solving while they build a marble run. "I only have 4 marbles and Weston has more than me." We count the marbles and realize that there are 10 of them.
"How many marbles will each of you get to make it fair, even and equal?" We do some counting and discover that 5 each is the fair way to distribute them. 5 + 5 = 10! Math is everywhere....great job mathematicians!
Crosby brings our Playbmobil baby for a walk in the park :)
"Pile up the animals...they need to be transported!"
Sulley gets comfy with a book on tape.
Teamwork!
Ms. Juli and friends find a snail on our playground during morning recess. This gorgeous fragile little creature is a joy to look at and explore. We let him slither on our hands for a bit and then we safely return him to the jewelweed plant near our fence.
We create a huge puddle with the water from our rain barrel. We then build bridges with crates to walk across it safely. Crosby has the brilliant idea of using buckets on our feet to walk across without getting our feet wet. What a great idea! Clearly his friends agree because they join right in!
How many Discoverers can you fit on one slide?
LOTS!
Parker. King of the crates!
