Several years ago when my son Kellan was a preschooler here, I made him an Art Cart for Christmas. It was loaded with all kinds of office supplies, craft items, and creative art mediums for him to explore and create with independently. He loved and used this cart for years. We finally retired it and it came here to preschool. Today, after a long stint of collecting dust out in our front hallway...it is finally back in action! We rolled that beautiful cart into the classroom this morning and got right to work! Friends checked out the items in each drawer, settled into the exploration and began creating ❤️ Today's highlights were oil pastels, smelly markers, stickers, hole punchers, staplers, and neon cardstock. My favorite part of today's exploration was how quiet, calm, and focused kiddos were while working. I also loved the teamwork it took for Frankie, Lucy, and Flinn to create a new classroom book for our reading area. Stay tuned for many more Art Cart adventures!
