After a round of thunderstorms this morning, we had a blast playing in AND out of the rain during recess. A little rain never stops us!
Raylan comes to us during recess unable to reach his water bottle due to a big puddle right in front of our crate. We encourage him to think about a solution to his problem. Raylan's awesome problem solving skills and flexible thinking lead him to this solution. Well done, Raylan! This is real life problem solving that is so critical for our kiddos to learn and to practice!
We were busy bees during that thunderstorm this morning!
We continue to work on our "Bucket Filling" unit with another great read aloud.
How Full is Your Bucket? For Kids by Mary Reckmeyer and Tom Rath is another wonderful book that reinforces the idea that our words and actions have an impact on others.
Before rest time, we gather once again and read The Wind Blew because ya know, the wind blew!
We noticed a lot of rhyming words in this one...ask your child if they can think of some words that may rhyme. Such a great introduction to early literacy skills :)
